Weddings

We are pleased to offer weddings in all our four churches. To marry in church you need a connection to the parish, through family, by living in the parish, or by attending church here for six months. If you have been married and divorced it may still be possible to marry in church.

Weddings can be on Saturdays or other days by arrangement.

From 14th January 2024 the Benefice is in vacancy (ie we don’t have a vicar in post). Weddings can usually still be arranged, with the help of visiting clergy. Please contact the Churchwardens at the church where you would like to get married – details are on the ‘contact’ page.

Weddings at St Michael’s Amberley

The pretty church, dating from the 12th Century, can seat a congregation of 120. There is a set of five bells that can be rung to celebrate your marriage. A resident choir can lead the singing and perform anthems if you wish.

Immediately behind the church, with a connecting gate, is Amberley Castle Hotel which can host your reception and house your guests in style. For smaller or more informal weddings there are many other possible local venues, including our own church hall next to the church, and there are a number of high-quality B&B’s in the village to accommodate your guests overnight.
